Poetic Geometry
At the heart of Anna Torfs’ work lies the ability of glass to capture, reflect and absorb light. Her objects, created in a rich palette of saturated colours, are characterised by a compelling combination of strict geometry and an organic, poetic sensibility.
Each piece is handmade. Her work is driven by a fascination with how traditional techniques, such as glass blowing, cutting and polishing, largely unchanged over the past two centuries, can give rise to contemporary objects. Because each piece is carefully handcrafted, no two are ever entirely identical.

In the Nobis Studio showroom you will always find several Anna Torfs objects either displayed or available in our archive for individual consultation. We frequently use them in the final styling of our projects, as they bring character and quiet sophistication to an interior. They are equally suited as a statement piece in a library or as an exceptional gift for a significant occasion.
