Every Fromental wallpaper is the result of a long process that begins with pure silk. It is carefully prepared so that the colours and brushes of skilled painters can reveal their full depth. The painting is carried out panel by panel, each of which may require weeks or even months of work — from the first light brushstrokes to the finest details. If the design includes embroidery, silk threads in countless shades are stitched into the wallpaper: up to 600 threadings for a single embroidered flower.
